| Membership of the ATHE is awarded in
recognition of academic achievement and working experience. Individuals wishing
to qualify for membership may apply to become Registered Students and study the
ATHE academic syllabus, which covers a wide range of travel, tourism and
Hospitality topics.
Those individuals who have achieved a qualification with another recognised awarding body or professional body, may apply for membership by exemption. |

| Membership
is awarded at the grade of Member. Individuals who are able to
demonstrate academic achievement and experience gained over many years working
at a senior level in travel and tourism may apply for election to the grade of
Fellow.

Member
(MTHE)
An individual
who has achieved, or who is able to demonstrate a suitable qualification or
previous experience can apply for election as a Member. A Member may use the
designatory letters MTHE.
Fellow
(FTHE)
An
individual who has achieved the ATHE qualifications at Level 4, or the
equivalent with another recognised awarding body or professional body, or who
has been awarded a Degree in Travel & Tourism or related subject and who,
additionally, is able to demonstrate a minimum of five years’ working experience
in the profession, may apply for election to the grade of Fellow. A
Fellow may use the designatory letters FTHE.
Corporate
Membership
Companies,
organisations including schools and colleges may apply for Corporate Membership
of ATHE. Corporate Member status does not bestow membership on an
individual, nor does it make anyone eligible for designatory letters. A
Corporate Member may take part in the business activities of ATHE. It may
nominate members of its staff to seek election to the Advisory Board or any of
the Working Groups that may, from time to time, be established. It may
also nominate members of staff to attend any open function organised by ATHE
and to take advantage of any discount enjoyed by individual members.
A
Corporate Member is encouraged to use the ATHE logo on all stationery,
promotional material and on all traditional and electronic media, including web
sites.
Accredited
Centre
A
University, college of further education, school, private training provider, or
other academic organisation that provides tuition in travel and tourism
subjects, may apply for recognition as an Accredited Centre (ATC).
An
ATC may nominate members of its staff to seek election to the Advisory Board or
any of the Working Groups that may, from time to time, be established. It
may also nominate members of staff to attend any open function organised by ATHE
and to take advantage of any discount enjoyed by individual members.
An
ATC is permitted to advertise the accreditation and to promote membership relating
to any course or courses that achieve the ATE standard. It is encouraged
to use the ATHE logo on all stationery, promotional material and on all
traditional and electronic media, including web sites.

| Accredited
Centre with a turnover of less than £100,000 - £175.00
Turnover above £100,000 - £350.00 Membership fees are payable with application for membership and fall due each year thereafter on the anniversary of the election to membership. Fees are paid in Sterling and may be paid by bank transfer. (see Payment details on home page) Member £75.00 Fellow £105.00 Each registered employee will be provided with a membership card and will be able to gain the benefits of individual membership |
